Antonin Panenka - Chips and Chocolate
He would wager against goalkeeper Zdenek Hruska about who would get the better in penalty kicks at the Bohemians Prague training ground. Money and confectionary were the usual stakes. Panenka initially suffered against the capable shot-stopper. Once he added the dink to his repertoire, the extra pounds on his waistline soon followed. A true original.

la légende du football algerien
Gigantesco.
He had everything skill wise.he was Virtually impossible to get the ball off him. Even when his speed had pretty much disappearedar and he moved central, he'd dictate the play. His vision was extraordinary. If he was around today, with the scientific based training and diet, he'd be worth 150m plus. Newcastle want 105m for Antony Gordon. Decent player but nowhere near Digger's level. Met him a couple of times.
Il famoso cucchiaio alla PANENKA...
1994
Génial !
You can’t learn the skill he had, however hard you try.
One of THE THE BBEESSTT.
After the indomitable Lions of Cameroon 1990, this was the net set of aliens African football had before Cameroon continued in the 2000s. I dreaded these particular eagles. They were individually and collectively invincible.
كل ما. يقال. على. هذا. الاسطورة. قليل. ولا. يعطيه. حقو
Perbacco che destro sopraffino !
Magnificent. Marvelous. Wonderful. Thid words belong to this team.
The biggest mistake the England national team made was not building a team and system around Barnes. He was several levels above everyone else.
Ampliamente el mejor, pero ampliamente
Best keeper i ever seen. I seen them all from 80s to now.
Great player & great coach
Cruyff belongs in the top 3 best players of all time alongside Maradona and Pele.
@@iman25011965 No Messi in top 5. Brazilian Ronaldo and Zidane.
Concordo.
That's a Jamaican connection lol
Jugador genial
He makes football seem so easy and simple.
If they’d shown this compilation when they were slating him they would have shut their illiterate stupid mouths and recognised a true master of the game.
What a fantastic player! Looking at this video one might think he was an attacking midfielder or playmaker, not a defender. Amazing video, gratitude for the upload; Clockwork Orange forever!
0:41 He blatantly stomped on his opponent's foot, yet he was the one who immediately winced in pain. Football in the 80s was truly immoral. I can imagine, it seems impossible for Messi to survive in that era.
Players like Eder are not born anymore. 😞
Piksi velemajstor fudbala, volio sam kao dijete jako ovog igraca.
Gazza! I love you! No doubt the best player. Hope you doing fine. Thank you for the memories.
This is the very best ever Nigerian team even if you combine Victor Osinhem and Victor Boniface they won't emulate what Finidi and Amukachi did.
Hoddle was a dream to watch, nothing better in football than seeing a player float inch perfect passes up and around the pitch! Hoddle could easily walk into any team in the world today, any club would be improved by Hoddle. The sad thing with football is such players seem to become rarer and rarer, last great passers of the ball for me were Guti and Pirlo, after the likes of Hoddle and then Michael Laudrup
Thanks for the upload... we need much more footage of Andreas Möller, he is one of the most underrated players of all time, what a great player he was.
Unreal.
I Saw Glen play on his debute for England against Bulgaria at Wembly stadium. What a debute , scoring a cracker of a goal which showed what a class player he was. St Michael.
Jan Van Beveren passed away in 2011 this is a part of the speech given in PSV's stadium after he passed away by PSV's goalkeeper who won the European Cup in 1988. "He was the keeper. The most talented keeper we've had in the Netherlands. He was exceptional bcz of his amazing reflexes and was able to keep impossible shots from entering the net. For his qualities and talents, he really hasn't played enough games for the national team and we all know why bcz he was too righteous, full of pride to work with a certain Johan Cruyff from Amsterdam."
One of the all time greats for the Mighty " Leeds United'.
Baller
Begbie's brother.
Le plus grand joueur de tous les temps.
Now everything makes a whole lot more sense watching Zidane.
His destiny should have included winning in 82. My hero of all time. He was a genius in almost every aspect of the game but his passing for me was the best
He should have gone to Italy in the late 80s. Maradona wanted him at Napoli.
Celtic supporter, if anything you always knew what you got with Graeme Souness, people sometimes overlook the fact that he was also a fantastic ball player but if you were ever in the trenches this would be the man to follow.
Che giocatore....
Il PELE' bianco.. .
Ottimo attaccante
great video for a magical player! love this series, especially players from late 70s/early 80s who are strangely under appreciated today in favour of the big names from the early 70s and 90s. Maybe a bite size Dalglish or Platini in the future?
Both coming in the next few weeks 👍
Jugador mágico.
Rob Rensinbrink. Good password.. Souness one of my footballing heroes. No offence to Graeme but I dont agree with a big😢 percentage of his tackles. Not showing tackles on him and theres bound to be. I watched the clip of Jimmy Case Liverpool v Souness Middlesbrough it looks Graeme is superior but I see it 1lb for 1lb I think Case wouldve got the better of Souness . I really like both.
Questo ha vinto un Pallone d’oro. Puskas nessuno. 🤦🏻♂️
